Spider-Man 2 (2004) Review

Spider-Man 2 (2004) 9/10 Hello everyone. I’m back with another movie review. Today, I’ll be going over the critically acclaimed superhero movie Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 2 was written and directed by Sam Raimi and was released on June 30, 2004, with this being a sequel to the first Spider-Man movie from 2002. Whenever comic book movies are brought up, this movie is usually listed as one of the best within the genre. Personally, I gotta agree with the verdict. This movie is better than the first Spider-Man movie and is leagues better than a lot of other comic book movies out there. I’m going to keep this short, so let’s just begin. Our story takes place two years after the events of the first movie. Peter is now a college student, hopping from job to job, and is living in an apartment all by himself. MJ is now an actor and still harbors feelings towards Pete. Harry Osbourne is now the head of Oscorp, trying to lead it back to greatness ever since his father Norman was killed by...

Suzume [SUB] (2022) Review

Suzume [SUB] (2022) 7/10 [THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!] Hello and welcome to another movie review. Today I’m rounding out Makoto Shinkai’s disaster trilogy with his latest movie Suzume. This movie premiered in Japan on November 7, 2022, with the film later getting a theatrical release both nationally and internationally. Suzume is written and directed by Makoto Shinkai, and produced by CoMix Wave Films. Upon its release, it received praise from both critics and general audiences, and received numerous awards and accolades. I remember seeing this movie in theaters a few years ago. Coming off the heels of both Your Name and Weathering With You, I was super excited to see Shinkai’s next brain child. Although I enjoyed it back then, I couldn’t help but feel that I over rated the film, but I could never figure out why. Suzume is a good movie for multiple different reasons, but I do think it’s the weakest of the “disaster trilogy”. Let’s begin. This is the story o...

Your Name. [SUB] (2016) 8/10 [THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!] Hello and welcome to another movie review. Today’s review is going to be a bit special, at least to me. Your Name premiered at the 2016 Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 3, 2016, which then got a theatrical release in Japan on August 26. The movie was written and directed by Makoto Shinkai, who had previously done 5 Centimeters per Second and The Garden of Words. Your Name is regarded as not only one of the best movies of 2016, but one of the best anime movies ever made. The film broke many box office records and won numerous accolades. To say the movie shook the anime world is an understatement. Your Name is a movie that I’ve been wrestling with for many many years now. I’ve actually watched and reviewed this movie at least three times now. Each time I watched it, my views on the film would change, making my criticisms not hold any weight lol. I’ve been wanting to tackle this movie one last tim...
