John Wick Chapter 2 (2017) Review

 John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) 10/10


Hello everyone. Today is a very good day. Very rarely do I give out a perfect 10/10 rating and John Wick 2 deserves that spot. John Wick Chapter 2 was released on February 10, 2017 with the director being Chad Stahelski, who did the first movie. This movie is a perfect sequel to an already great film, amping up its story, world building, and action to another level while also not overstaying its welcome. Let’s begin.


Directly after the events of the first movie, John Wick continues to pursue the men who stole his car and killed his dog, both of which were some of his final mementos from his late wife. After he recovers his car, he attempts to return back to his peaceful life until one of the members of the Continental meets up with him who's named Santino D'Antonio. Santino wants John Wick to kill his sister who holds a position of one of the members of the High Council, whom of which runs the Continental. Wick begrudgingly accepts the task after Santino burns his house down. After successfully killing her, Santino (who has replaced his sister's position) then puts a bounty on John Wick's head in order to cut loose ends. John Wick then hunts down Santino while trying to survive the endless hit men that's going after him.

This is an excellent continuation to the first movie. Although the first movie was a fantastic foundation in every aspect of a movie, John Wick 2 improves on everything. The story is excellent, the action is more intense than ever, cinematography is still on point, the music is downright amazing, and the acting is superb. All movies should try to reach this level of quality.


I honestly couldn't find anything wrong with the movie. It continued the story of John Wick in absolute perfection. This is the perfect sequel. I know I'm cutting this review kinda short and probably leaving some key details out, but I want to leave some of it as a surprise to any of you that wants to watch it.


If you enjoyed the first movie, then you will enjoy this. John Wick 2 is a perfect movie from all angles and I hope the third entry is on the same level. I regard this movie as one of my top favorite films ever and I would totally rewatch it again in the future.

  The Raid: Redemption (2011) 10/10 Hello everyone and welcome to another movie review. Today, Let’s take a look at the first of a duology from Indonesia called The Raid. The Raid 1 was released at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2011, with the director being Gareth Evans. The movie was a mega hit and when it was released here in the US, it got a brand new soundtrack featuring Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park and Joseph Trapanese. I adore this movie to pieces. I don’t normally give out perfect 10/10 ratings but I feel this movie is just that exceptional. I first discovered this film from an old friend of mine.
