The Raid: Redemption (2011) Review

  The Raid: Redemption (2011) 10/10 Hello everyone and welcome to another movie review. Today, Let’s take a look at the first of a duology from Indonesia called The Raid. The Raid 1 was released at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2011, with the director being Gareth Evans. The movie was a mega hit and when it was released here in the US, it got a brand new soundtrack featuring Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park and Joseph Trapanese. I adore this movie to pieces. I don’t normally give out perfect 10/10 ratings but I feel this movie is just that exceptional. I first discovered this film from an old friend of mine. He invited me out to go see the second movie (which I agreed to and thoroughly enjoyed) and then a few days later we checked out the first. Safe to say, I love these movies and then some and will always be there to say The Raid is one of the best action movies ever made. Let’s begin.   Demon Slayer Season 3: The Swordsmith Village Arc [SUB] (2023) 7/10 [THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!] Hello and welcome to another anime review. Today, let’s continue with the critically acclaimed series Demon Slayer. Season 3 (dubbed The Swordsmith Village Arc) aired from April 9 - June 18, 2023, with the season clocking in at 11 episodes long. Just like the previous seasons, this season was animated by Ufotable. Swordsmith Village sits in a weird way within the anime community. Although it has generally favorable reviews, the season seems to have the most mixed reviews of the series so far. Season 3 is not a bad season by any means, but I do kinda agree with some of the criticisms. Let’s begin.
